Blue Oranges – We Support: THE TIM TEBOW FOUNDATION

It all started with a sign…back in January 2009 at the BCS National Championship in Miami.  “We were lucky enough to have front row seats, behind the Gator bench”, said Evans.  “I wanted to make a sign so our kids at home would see us on TV.  My husband was embarrassed, but I did it anyway.   I came up with my clever little I Heart T Bow® slogan and it was a big hit!  I had people taking pictures and they even put me on the Jumbo-Tron 3 times!  On our way home the next day, I decided to trademark it and form a small company.”  That’s when Titletown T’s was born.

Evans, an interior designer who co-owns a home building and design firm in Gainesville with her husband, certainly didn’t have any experience in t-shirt design or sales.  She worked over the next 8 months, with the start of the ’09 football season as her target deadline.  “It’s been fun learning along the way” she says.  Sales actually took her by surprise.  “I put a tiny little ad on Facebook, really just to see how it worked, and I sold out of my entire inventory in 48 hours!  I knew then I was on to something!”

Now with the QB going to the pros, she has revamped her entire line. Evans says, “This is so exciting for Gator fans!  We just can’t get enough of him!”   When their shirts and buttons quickly became best sellers last football season, Evans knew she would carry her brand into the pros, wherever that took her.  “I’ve had color combinations swirling around in my head for months.  Denver is the perfect fit…orange and (navy) blue!”  Through local shops, her website and out of town distributors, Lori has created a successful company in a very short period of time.

In October of 2010, blueoranges began supporting The Tim Tebow Foundation.  A portion of every purchase now goes to support the foundation.  Lori Evans says, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be supporting such a great organization.“
